General publications include an historical annual of the National Guard, tables of organization of the State Guard, and a typed transcript about the newly reorganized National Guard. The annual, published in 1938, contains extensive histories of the Guard in general and units of the organization. It is also heavily illustrated with photographs of officers, enlisted men, Adjutant Generals, Brigadier Generals, personnel, and armories. The tables of organization present state staff and detachments and the number, rank, and grade of personnel in units of the State Guard for 1943. "The Newly Re-Organizaed National Guard" gives statistics and costs to the War Department and explains and justifies expenses which are requested in state appropriations for 1947-1948 and 1948-1949. This series educates the public in relation to the history, organization, and activities of the Guard.
